FOR TWO DECADES, SWEET SWINE O’ MINE HAS BEEN A LABOR OF LOVE FOR CO-FOUNDER MARK LAMBERT. SWEET SWINE O’ MINE GREW FROM AN UPSTART COMPETITION BBQ TEAM TO BECOMING WORLD CHAMPION COOKS TO SELLING THEIR OWN RUBS AND SAUCES THAT INCLUDE THE TEAM’S AWARD-WINNING FLAVOR PROFILES. WHAT STARTED AS A HOBBY BECAME A FULL-TIME LIFESTYLE.

Mark spends his days grilling over live fire, working to try new techniques and master them. If he’s not competing, he’s cooking.

Along with being a regular face at cooking competitions, Lambert is highly involved in the BBQ community through his leadership on the National Barbecue and Grilling Association board, the competition team classes he offers with the Killer Hogs Competition BBQ Team at www.barbecuelive.com and his restaurant consulting work.

Mark has been seen cooking great looking food on all sorts of smokers and grills. His distribution website features cookers of all types from brands like Backwoods Smokers, Ole Hickory Smokers and even his own brand’s Sweet Smoker O’ Mine Red Box smoker, an affordably priced reverse-flow, doubled-walled, insulated cabinet smoker.

 

As evident by his team’s name Sweet Swine O’ Mine, one of Mark’s specialties is pork — whole hog and pork shoulder are two of his standouts.

One of his latest masteries is a smashburger and he’s working on perfecting his steak cooking techniques.

GREATEST BBQ ACHIEVEMENT

Their winning flavor profiles and incredible teamwork have won Mark and Sweet Swine O’ Mine many accolades throughout the years.

The BBQ team has brought home multiple world champions from prestigious competitions, including two Grand Champion wins at the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest (2009, 2013) and a first-place victory for ribs at the 2017 American Royal World Series of Barbecue.

ABOUT SWEET SWINE O' MINE

Sweet Swine O’ Mine entered the product business after perfecting a barbecue rub and sauce that captured the winning flavors crafted by Mark and his team. The advice Mark received from his NBBQA peers was instrumental in the success of his business. Dave Raymond (Sweet Baby Ray’s) gave him a tip that stuck: “Don’t go into the restaurant business. Stick to your sauces, rubs and smokers.”
